This discourse is an emphasis on how to specify your wage as someone who is an employee with more responsibilities or work. When you work as an employee and your work has the capability to change the fortunes of the company with which you work for, the Bible is now giving you the counsel to specify your salary. This usually happens when you are negotiating a new work contract as the case maybe. To adequately specify your wage, you may need to show evidence that your work can actually change the fortunes of that company, mostly through a curriculum vitae. A curriculum vitae is a succinct description of your past work experience, where you should cite clearly awards, certifications etc. You may also need to show a document that specified a previous salary or remuneration. All previous documentary evidence notwithstanding, you should only use those to estimate your remuneration and declare that remuneration to your boss or employer as the case maybe. In your life as much as possible do not allow others to appoint your wages, but you must show experience, capability and know how. If other people appoint your wages, they may not be ethical and thus put you in poverty. As a Christian or a would-be Christian, you can take that wage demand and write it out through a prayer request to your Church and your Pastor for prayers and ensure you make faith-filled declarations afterwards and you will get God respond on your behalf just because you are fulfilling the scriptures. Understand that to specify is what it means to write out that wage demand as a prayer request.
